Shadow Pilot
A quiet, two-week experiment run on a real pain point using only your own accounts, instead of a formal pilot program that would need budget and approval.
A Shadow Pilot is how a Guerilla Tactician tests a fix without asking permission first. A formal “pilot program” sounds like a project that needs budget, a committee, and IT sign-off. A two-week experiment on a burning, specific pain point, run quietly on just your own accounts, sounds like nothing at all, right up until it produces a result.
The pattern: wait for a real crisis (a slipping deal, a data quality complaint), pitch it as a small, reversible fix (“if it works we keep it, if not I turn it off, zero cost”), then run it. If it works, the results speak for themselves, and the tactician offers to share the template rather than take credit. That framing is what turns a personal workaround into something an organization actually wants to adopt.
